Ghani Khan

Ghani Khan, he called himself a Lewanay Fālsafi (Mad Philosopher) is one of the great poets of Pashto history, he was a poet, artist, philosopher, politician, Sufi.

He was born in the famous political family (Bacha Khan) in the village of Utmanzai in Charsadda District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan on 1914, he was the son of Bacha khan (Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan a great leader and revolutionist and freedom fighter and the founder of Khudai Khidmatgar (God servant) moment, and he was the brother of well know politician Wali khan

Ghani Khan married with Parsi family name was Roshan was the daughter of Nawab Rustam Jang

Ghani Khan studied at the art academy at Rabindranath Tagore‘s university in Shantiniketan and he became amazing artist and later he studied sculpture sugar technology in the United States, and started a Sugar Mills (Takht Bhai Sugar Mills) in Mardan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 1933

Ghani Khan was also a member of parliament in British India and he was also freedom fighter.

Government of Pakistan Award:

Ghani khan received Sitara-e-Imtiaz award from the Government of Pakistan on his contributions to Pashto literature and art by General Zia-ul-Haq in 1980.
